This is not the post I had planned for today. I was supposed to be up early writing a book review. I think I stayed ahead on my posts like I wanted to for all of one week! I’ve been distracted by a lot of activity on our house, and this morning instead of writing, I was reading and signing a contract for the sale of our home!
It’s not that I didn’t still have time to write that book review, it’s that I completely lost my focus. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. I’m also afraid I’m jinxing this by even talking about it yet, because there are still a lot of hoops to jump through before it’s really a done deal. But it feels like we’re at least getting closer, and that this might really happen.
There is so much to do now and so much to think about with the new home. That got me thinking about changes, and wanting to look back at some old photos and reflect on how things have changed in the last few years while looking ahead to how things will be changing even more.
I found this photo of our trio of ball players from January 2013. We lost Moses to cancer that summer, and Luke joined our family at the end of that year.
We now have a new trio of ball players, and soon they will probably be playing ball in a new yard. One of the first things we’ll be doing with the new home is installing fencing so they can still have a huge yard to play and hang out in.
I am beyond busy now. January and February are a busy months for me with my bookkeeping work as well, so I’m probably back to my old ways of writing and changing plans at the last minute. It’s a good thing I work well that way! Once we get settled into our new home, maybe I can come up with a new schedule and stick to it! Stay tuned….oh, and keep your paws crossed for us that this sale goes through!
