From the day Luke came home with us as an eight week old rescue puppy (I can’t believe it’s been over two years now!), he’s challenged us in many ways, especially health-wise. From kennel cough and worms right after he joined us, to other digestive issues and then his luxating patella in both knees early on, he’s given us a lot to deal with.
At the time we thought we were feeding our dogs quality food; we’ve come a long way from feeding our first dog cheap grain store food her whole life. However, Luke helped us to realize we still had a ways to go. It wasn’t until we switched everyone over to grain free dog food that his digestive issues finally settled down. We never stop trying to do better, and always like to take opportunities to try new foods that will help contribute to his (and his sisters’) overall health.
When given the opportunity to try the reinvented Wellness® Complete Health™ Grain Free dog food for Luke, I was happy to get on board. Not only are we already fans of the Wellness brand (our cat Samantha reviewed some of their food in the past), but I liked the fact that just like we are always evolving to do better for our pets, they are also improving their own lines of food to give pet families a better option to help their pets live a more natural healthy life.
Even the name describes exactly what I am looking to provide our dogs – complete health and wellness. We strive towards this not just by providing natural dog food, but through plenty of physical and mental stimulation, and most importantly, love. Luke enjoys not just lots of healthy fresh air and outdoor exercise, but many fun toys for indoor play, and trick training to engage his mind.
Quality food fuels good exercise and growth. You can see the signs of your dogs’ health and wellbeing in their playfulness and the love they give back. Luke is such a snuggler and he often tucks his head into my shoulder when sitting with me. I love to stroke his soft fur and feel it against my face.
Wellness Complete Health Grain Free Recipes are one great way to start your own dog on the road to a healthy life. They provide high quality protein along with essential vitamins and nutrients. Those proteins encourage full energy, the prebiotics and probiotics support healthy digestion, and Vitamins A and E contribute to a healthy immune system.
I feel good about helping Luke to thrive by providing him with Complete Health Recipes that contain:
- Balanced blends of high quality proteins (we chose the Lamb & Lamb Meal Recipe for Luke to try).
- Grain-free carbohydrates.
- Select fats.
- Nutrient rich fruits and vegetables.
As we are transitioning Luke to this new food (it is important to always transition your pet slowly to new foods), I look forward to more cuddles with that soft fur as well as seeing other benefits like healthy teeth and plenty of energy for all that playing. Luke of course loves the new food, and we’ll be updating you the next couple of months on how he is doing on it.
