Last week we shared a photo with Cricket expressing her #Beagletude. She was not happy with how long the photographer (me) was taking with the photos of them staring at a treat from last month’s Pet Treater box.
We didn’t tell you the whole story. In this next photo Cricket has gone back to her sweet beagle begging look. Sheba is of course just her usual happy self. You can see some other paws off to the left.
It was not just the girls waiting for that treat.
Below I was trying to capture the treat itself in the photo, but someone was even less patient than Cricket was.
As I tried to re-focus on the treat, Luke jumped up and grabbed it right out of my hand, and ran into the kitchen with it, already crunching away! At least Cricket’s annoyance could now be directed at her brother instead of me. I quickly followed him and even though he would not drop the whole treat, he did drop part of it, so the girls were able to each get a bite. Then I gave both of them another treat from the cabinet (Luke did not get another one!).
Luke is pretty good at “leave it” most of the time, but he is, after all, not even 3 years old yet, and there might be another reason for this occasional type of #Brattitude.
You see, lest you feel really sorry for those girls; I will share this quote from a different Pet Treater review, that Luke wrote back in February: “Naturally Healthy Dog Biscuits from Carolina Biscuit Co. ………were a big hit. In fact, Cricket rudely stole one right out of Momz’ hand! Then, Sheba tried to do the same! I almost didn’t get one but Momz took it right out of Sheba’s mouth!”
Luke learns from his big sisters, and unfortunately it’s often their bad habits that he picks up on! Perhaps that’s why Sheba was laughing in the below photo, she knew exactly what was coming!
