This is Wag ‘N Woof’s first time participating in the Tuesday’s Tails Blog Hop, hosted by Dogs N Pawz. This blog hop features shelter animals. Find a cat, dog, rabbit or other animal at a local shelter or rescue and feature them on this blog hop! Come join the fun and help a furry friend find a forever home. And while you’re at it, don’t forget to visit the other blogs and share their animals that need forever homes on your social media sites. Please spread the word!
**UPDATE – HESTER HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!**
Sweet and friendly Hester is a 9 year old Beagle/Dachshund mix. She is 24 pounds, spayed, and heartworm negative. She gets along great with cats and other dogs. She came to NH from Ohio, where the shelter she was at lost power due to flooding.
The rescue says that they are “happy to have met this cuddly girl, and she would not mind sleeping on the bed with you (at all).” She just had her teeth cleaned as well!
More details about Hester:
- Up to Date with routine shots
- house trained
- Black, Red, Chestnut or Orange
- Coat length: short

Hester is in foster care through Libby’s Haven for Senior Canines in Canterbury, NH. Libby’s Haven is an all-volunteer group dedicated to re-homing and caring for senior dogs in need. Their email is firstname.lastname@example.org, where you can request an adoption application.
I chose a senior for my first Tuesday’s Tails, because I think they make great pets. Nine may sound old for a dog, but our Beagle Cricket is almost 9 and she is still just as healthy and active as ever!
