Even those that don’t really like to dress up their dogs in clothes or costumes can appreciate a pretty collar, bandana, or other accessory. What Dog’s Best Trend offers is not a bandana, it’s a scarf! It’s not made of cotton in cutesy designs, it’s made of silk in stylish and unique patterns that can’t be found anywhere else. It conveniently comes to your home monthly via a subscription service.

Other than a coat or sweater on Luke for warmth in the winter, we don’t dress up too much around here. I still like to do a little bit though, and I love it when my dogs look pretty or handsome. The scarves from Dog’s Best Trend are made for dogs but with the humans in mind. They are created with style for beauty, fashion, and most of all – fun!
I was thrilled to see these bright scarves in fun colors for fall arrive. We didn’t know what scarves we would get – the Dog’s Best Trend subscription service sends out a secret design monthly so you can be pleasantly surprised each time! I don’t know about you, but often when I shop for accessories for my dogs, I have trouble making a choice. This way you don’t have to worry about that!
The scarf you receive will be unique as well – they can’t be found anywhere else. Not only will your dog be the best dressed on your street or in your town, unless your neighbors subscribe as well, he or she will be the talk of the town!
Sometimes your scarf might be seasonable, sometimes just fashionable, but it will always be the same high quality silk in beautiful colors. Now, my dogs aren’t really fashionistas, they’re more the rough and tumble type, so I wondered how these scarves would hold up to them. One of my biggest beefs with many cotton bandanas I’ve purchased is that the fur often sticks to them, and they don’t hold up in the wash.
I had one that actually came OUT of the wash, not only all wrinkled (I’ll do a lot for my dogs but I draw the line at ironing for them!), but covered with Sheba’s blonde fur that was difficult to get off. So I had to put these scarves to the test and I threw one in with my regular laundry. I’m happy to say it came out smooth and wrinkle free, with not a speck of dog fur stuck to it!
I wondered what inspired Jim Goss to start this subscription service just this past summer. Last fall he and his wife had bought bandanas for the two dogs in their family at the time. They got the usual Halloween themed cotton bandanas in a common pattern, but were disappointed in the stiff cotton and cheesy pattern. They thought designers could do better; why not scarves with great seasonal designs made from quality material? Just a few months later this business was born.
Jim and his wife have their own rescued black lab mix, Fisher, and they occasionally foster dogs as well. When they lost their first dog, Max, who they’d had for 14 years, they made the choice to then adopt older black dogs, who are known to be more difficult to place. They adopted two dogs, Camden and Gage, but after only 18 months lost Gage to cancer. They adopted Fisher before also losing Camden to cancer. We all know what it’s like to suffer those losses, and it’s tough.
You can gather from that story that they are true dog lovers, and that is why a portion of all of their sales are donated to rescue groups. When you visit their website, you can see which group is currently the recipient of their generosity.
