If it’s not shoes with dogs and cats on them, you’re missing out!
Our Favorite Footwear for Pet Lovers
Last spring when shopping with my sisters and girlfriends, my friend and I made an awesome find – casual canvas sneakers with dogs and cats on them! The brand is Bobs by Skechers (this style: “Beach Bingo Woof Pack*“). We were at an outlet store, and they had a special BOGO offer, so we were each able to get a pair! We both got the colorful dog shoes in the below photo on the left.
*Disclosure: I am not being compensated for this post, I am sharing about these shoes because I love them so much. Direct links to some of the products on amazon, however, are affiliate links so I may receive a small commission if you order through those links.*
There was so much to love about these shoes – Skechers makes a donation to the Petco Foundation to help save lives of dogs and cats for each pair sold. It wasn’t just that, but the fact that the memory foam insoles make these shoes so darn comfortable. It’s like walking around in your slippers all day. I couldn’t get over still wanting another pair – the ones with the cats on them (above right).
Again, when shopping with “the girls” – Christmas shopping this time – my oldest sister and I ended up in a Skechers outlet store again, and didn’t they have the same offer going! This time, however, there was more to choose from than just the sneakers – there were slippers as well! I love the names – these are called “Too Cozy Winter-Wags*“. We didn’t manage to split the offer and walk out of the store with just one pair of shoes each, however, we both walked out with two! I found those canvas sneakers with the cats on them (“Beach Bingo Hissy Fit”), and these had the bonus of having faux fur along the top to make them oh-so-cozy for wear in the colder weather!
There is so much more. When I was at the Skechers outlet store, they talked me into signing up for their Elite Rewards program, which not only earns points, I also occasionally get special e-mail offers, and free shipping on their website. That led me to perusing the entire line of Bobs shoes, and I was amazed to see so many different pet patterns, and not just canvas shoes and slippers, but ballet flats, boots, sandals, slides and more. I’ve resisted so far, but I can see my shoe wardrobe expanding in the future!
These Skechers are not my first foray into footwear with pets on them. I have had the scuffs seen in the photo below on the left from LL Bean forever.
I’ve had them so long, the soles on the bottoms came off, but I’m still wearing them! I love these because not only can they be worn in the house, but if I need to step outside in the weather for a couple minutes, I don’t need to change my shoes; even with the center of the soles missing! The only downside of these for me is that LL Bean does not carry small sizes. These slippers are more comfortable for me if I wear them with a pair of socks on as well. They’ve had the dog ones, and cat ones, for a long time, but have expanded just lately and now have golden retrievers, butterflies, moose, and even squirrels! How would our dogs feel about us wearing squirrels on our feet? Luke might get a little crazy!
So whether out the door on the run or hanging around the house, my feet are cozy and expressive of my love for pets as well!
